Everyone’s favourite immortals-chopping-eachother’s-heads-off sci-fi/fantasy movie is getting a Batman-esque reboot. Yes, Highlander will be returning to the big screen in a new flick penned by the guys who wrote Iron Man. Pretty awesome. I always dug the concept of the original movies, even if they were so very, very bad. I mean, the original was cool in a kitschy way, but the subsequent films explored heretofore unknown regions of crapiness.
I have high hopes for then redux, since IM was pretty freakin’ cool. I will, however, miss the delightful lunancy of the first movie. A frenchman playing a Scot who is mentored by an actual Scot playing an Egyptian who dies but then reappears in the second film for no apparent reason. Booyah! And FYI, ‘The Kurgan’ is Clancy Brown’s best role. Ever.
There can be only….AHHHHH! WHY DO WE ALWAYS DO THIS NEXT TO HIGH VOLTAGE WIRES???
